Bread Basket

Rachel discovered this unique weaving technique among a myriad of not-so-beautiful baskets at the local crafts fair. We worked with the producer to develop this basket made from Field Grass. The grass grows on non-agricultural land. It is another example of creating value and beauty from local materials. The twice woven technique is quite labor intensive and production output is based on the growing season of the grass.

Using field grass, a local renewable resource, these baskets are handwoven by Vietnamese artisan weavers. The weavers us time honored techniques to produce these crafted baskets. Contemporary interpretations of an traditional craft. These multi-purpose baskets are ideal for baked goods, fresh herbs and produce, and versatile enough to be used anywhere around the house.
